Dr. D. Lynel Rhett is the proud son of  Rev. Dr. Gary Rhett, Jr. & Evangelist Jacqueline M. Rhett.  He  has had the privilege of being reared in a Christian home all of his life, but made a commitment to serve God with a personal experience of  accepting Jesus Christ as Saviour & Lord. He has worked in the church in various capacities, such as Usher, Driver, Choir Director on the  Local, District & Jurisdictional level, Deacon, Minister, Elder & Jr. Pastor, presently he is the President of the Evangelist Department for both District #2 & ENY Jurisdiction #1. He has

had the awesome experience of ministering throughout this metropolitan area and across this country for the past twenty - five years.

In June of 2016 his father, Supt. Dr. Gary Rhett bestowed upon him his highest honor to date by assigning & appointing him as the Pastor of the Evergreen COGIC Worship Center.  He is a husband to Jeanette Rhett, better known as the “Preetiest Lady in the house”, father of 3 children, Lynette Rhett-McNeil, Derrick Rhett & Aaliyah Burrows-Rhett, grandfather of 7, great - grandfather of 1.  He loves God’s people, he loves the work of the Lord & he loves to preach!

  

His favorite scriptures are Psalms 91:1, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” & “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” Psalms 133 : 1. It is his ultimate focus to be found faithful in the work & worship of God!
